Our History
SMMC #1 was organized in August, 1990 by the Methodist Cursillo of Mississippi for the purpose of accommodating the growing number of applications from the southern part of Mississippi. Organized in accordance with agreements reached between the Mississippi Conference of the United Methodist Church, the Methodist Cursillo of Mississippi, and the National Cursillo organization. Since that date over 1200 Cursillistas have been blessed by the "short course" in Christianity we call "Cursillo".
